9 WELCOME TO OUR NEW ADMINISTRATOR GARY P. MELIKIAN Gary has resided in California for many years, but most recently has returned to Michigan. We are fortunate to have a parishioner and friend join us in this capacity. SANCTUARY, MUSEUM TOUR AND LUNCHEON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2014, 10:00 AM 2:00 PM Once again, as part of the many Festival programs this year, we will open our doors to those who wish to visit our church campus and experience the rich heritage of faith and culture within St. John s sanctuary and the Alex and Marie Manoogian Museum. The program will begin at 10:00 am with a tour of the sanctuary conducted by Father Garabed. A musical portion will be performed by Deacon Rubik with organ accompaniment by Margaret Lafian. At 11:00 am, the group will proceed to the Alex and Marie Manoogian Museum where director Lucy Ardash and her docents will provide a tour of the museum and its precious artifacts, some dating back thousands of years. REMINDER The Tuesday Lunch Club (aka Senior Lunch) the day after Labor Day has been rescheduled for one week only. There will be no lunch on Tuesday, September 2nd. Instead, Tuesday Lunch Club will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd. This rescheduling is due to the first day of AGBU School pickup, rental activity, parking, traffic and safety concerns. 11 WOMEN S GUILD NEWS Festival Summer Baking Calling All Parishioners. WE NEED YOU. Ladies, men and non- Women s Guild members are welcome and encouraged to join us this summer in the church kitchen beginning at 9:00 am. You will learn to make delicious traditional Armenian delicacies and have fun at the same time. We will be making Khalkha on Monday, August 25th and Katah on Tuesday, August 26th.
